Get Started

Once you have decided to engage with Cobweb Digital please drop us a message via our Contact page and we will get back to you to schedule an initial chat.  A typical project will follow the steps outlined below but will be tailored to your own specific needs.

Informal Chat

We kick off with an informal chat to understand your requirements and how we can meet them.  Take a look at our Creative Brief for the sort of information that we will need and ideally send this over to us in advance of our initial chat.

We will provide you with a written proposal to confirm what your requirements are and how we will take your project forward.  This will include all costs and timings.

Go Ahead

Once you are happy with the proposal then we will start creating your new web site for you.  At this point we ask for 50% of the project cost which will be provided in the proposal.  We will also require the content (text) and any images that you wish to include, although we can source the latter for you if you prefer.

Initial Design

We will show you how your website will look by creating a mock-up of the home page, either directly on your new domain (hidden behind a maintenance page) or on one of our own ‘sand box’ sites.  Once you are happy with the layout, colour schemes etc we will continue with the rest of your website.

The development stage includes the building of the full site, testing every page and every link on a variety of devices and browsers.  We will also perform an initial performance check to ensure that the web site has been built to a good standard.  During the development stage we will be in regular contact and keep you up to date with progress.

Your Website Goes Live!

When you are happy with all aspects of your website we will agree a ‘go live’ date, and where necessary a transition plan from an existing provider, and after the final payment is received your new website will be made available for the world to see!

On-going Support

Once your site is live we will provide you with constant support by maintaining your website, ensuring that all software components are regularly updated, that backups are taken and the website is proactively monitored.  Any changes or tweaks that you require will be made in a timely manner to enable you to concentrate on running your business.
